Nutcracker News
By Cindy Turner

Dance rehearsals begin today and we will all be humming Nutcracker melodies by week's end. Each class, grades K-2, will rehearse for twenty minutes, twice each week.  Principals and 4th/5th grade volunteers attend rehearsals before or after school, depending on the dance.  Information packets for grades K-2 (and 3rd grade volunteers) will be distributed today, so be sure to check your child's communication folders.   K-2 permission slips are due Friday, October 28th. All Nutcracker information, including permission slips, performance times and costume requirements are also available at http://www.strandwood.org/PTA_nutcracker.html

Each Nutcracker performer receives only TWO SEATS for his/her show.  Due to the record number of students participating in this year's production and limited seating in the Multi-Use Room (determined by Fire Code), we will have no extra tickets to distribute.  Now we know everyone wants to see this darling production, so no need to worry - we have the solution!  Invite the grandparents, aunts and uncles to attend your child's Dress Rehearsal (as listed in your Nutcracker information packet).  Or, go to www.biddingforgood.com/strandwood and bid on (6) FRONT ROW SEATS!  Proceeds from this auction will be donated to the Strandwood PTA.  The online auction will open Tuesday, November 1st.

-Ties (sized for 3rd grade boys)

-Boy's black pants (all sizes)

-White turtlenecks (all sizes)
