Every Monday Email Club members receive important information regarding upcoming events and communications from The PTA and Strandwood staff via the Roadrunner. The Roadrunner also provides links to important flyers and new items on the PTA and school websites. Directory Deadline

| The Strandwood Student Directory is in the final stages. If you haven't turned in your directory information do so now. Click here for the form and return it to the PTA box in the office. Also, last call for directory advertising. For $25 get your business card included in the directory and help offset the cost of printing.

Photo Days are Coming

Please mark your calendars: Strandwood Fall Photo Day will be on Tuesday, October 18th for grades 1-5 . Due to the addition of a 4th kindergarten class, Kindergarteners will be photographed on Wednesday, October 12.
Fall photos are pre-order and order forms will come home in your child's communications folder before picture day. Please stay tuned for additional information.

Special Edition Fall Fest T-Shirts
| | The spirtwear guys are at it again. A special edition Fall Fest T-shirt has been created and theyare taking orders now. Don't get left behind without your special shirt. This will be a one time order. Click here to view the order form.

Box Tops Contest

| I hope you have been collecting those Box Tops all summer long because it's time to start turning them in! The first contest will end Friday October 28th. Please turn in all Box Tops to the office on or before Friday October 28th. Please have them in a bag labeled with the child's name, class and the number of Box Tops collected. The child that turns in the most Box Tops will win a gift card.
The winner will be announced Tuesday, November 1st (Box Tops that were turned in during the month of September will also be a part of the contest). Any questions please email me at megan.wilson@sbcglobal.net. |

Great American Fundraiser

| Our Fall Fundraiser Comes To A Close!
If you didn't turn your Great American order in on Friday, October 7, today is the day to get your order in. Please place it in the Great American Basket in the office. We anticipate getting our orders in the early part of November. If your order was an online order, the prizes earned will be shipped to Strandwood, not your home. We will get them out to your student.
If your child sold one item online, they are entitled to a Splat Back. There is only one Splat Back per student. Please have your student pick up their Splat Back at the PTA door after school today. We will have a list of students who are to receive one. We will also be giving out ducks and taking photographs if your student sold 10 or more items.
If your student sold 12 items, you are eligible to receive an item of your choice from the Delights catalog. Cookie Dough, Canvas Impressions, and Magazines are excluded. If you have any questions about how to get this on the order form, do not hesitate to come by the PTA room Monday afternoon and ask or send us an email.
If you're interested in just making a straight donation to our fundraiser, please contact us.

Nutcracker Permission Slips and Auditions

|  Permission slips for the 4th & 5th grade volunteer roles (Backstage, Arabians, Battle & Sugar Plums) are due Tuesday, October 11th (no exceptions). Click here for the 4th/5th grade permission slip. Permission slips for the 5th grade Principal roles (Drosselmeyer, Rat King, Mama Mouse & Nutcracker) will be Wednesday, October 12th @ 12:30-1:30pm in the MUR. Permission slips are due Tuesday, October 11th (no exceptions). Click here for the 5th grade principal permission slips. Full cast lists will be published on Friday, 14th on the PTA bulletin board outside of the office. |

Target Red Card

| | Do you have a Target Red Card yet? Now the Target Red Card saves you 5% on every Target shopping trip, every day!
Apply and get approved for a TARGET credit card (it only takes 5 minutes at the check-out). Enroll in Take Charge For Education and designate Strandwood as your school. Start shopping and using your card. Target will track purchases and send a donation check to the school. Currently, we have only 35 families participating in the program but we received a check last year for almost $600!!!! This is the easiest money we've ever made - passive fundraising at its best!!
