Another Successful Jump Start Day

Jump Start Day (JSD) was once again a fun and successful day. There was of course some confusion and the pizza idea was so overwhelmingly popular we ran out of pizzas on two separate occasions. We didn't think there would be a need for over 50 pizzas! Thank you for your patience and to those who couldn't wait, and didn't get to eat, we are sincerely sorry. Next time we do something like that we will now be better prepared. If you have any comments or suggestions for next year's JSD please email me at JEideVP@gmail.com.

Spirit Wear Raffle Winners

Congratulations to Brooke M. and Melissa M. (both kindergartners) on winning $5.00 gift cards to Coco Swirl. PTA President Sue Noack picked the cards from the fishbowl at the end of the JSD activities. Gift cards can be delivered before school starts by emailing Kim Khalvati or she will deliver them to the classroom on the first day of school.

PTA Welcome Back Coffee

Join us the first day of school, Monday, Aug 31st, at 8:10 a.m. in front of the multi-use room for a special Welcome Back Coffee sponsored by the Strandwood PTA.
Come and catch up with friends you haven't seen all summer or make new ones as you gather to mourn together (just a little bit!) the fact that your first (or last) child is entering Kindergarten.

Back to School Night Correction

The Back to School Night information on the blue Teacher Assignment Form is incorrect. The correct dates are:
K & 1st grades - September 1st from 6:30 to 8:00
4th and 5th grades - September 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00
2nd and 3rd grades - September 10th from 6:30 to 8:00
The Strandwood website calendar and prior Blasts were correct.
