What Can You Do About Budget Cuts Effecting
Strandwood? |
Budget reductions are significantly impacting the classroom environment. Here at Strandwood we know we can make a difference for our kids. The PTA is encouraging the "Measure S: Invest in Success" campaign.
This is a "measure" like no other. We, the parents of Strandwood students, are finding ways to deliver the much needed financial support to our schools. Measure S: Invest in Success is asking you to donate at least $100 per family to enable the PTA to provide Instructional Assistants in the classrooms. Instructional Assistants can support students and teachers by providing focused attention on reading. We can give our tax-deductible donations directly to our school and immediately see results in our classrooms. Donations from just 56 families can make this change happen. Just 56 families! We can do this! Of course, more donations facilitate more Assistants. Volunteers from Measure S will be in front of the Kindergarten rooms accepting your donations today and tomorrow!
Bring your checkbook when you pick up your child and be an instrument of change for our students. Please make your check out to "Strandwood PTA".
Measure S: Invest in Success will be working hard all summer for additional financial support. Talk to family members, friends, neighbors and local businesses about supporting Strandwood. Remind your neighbors and local businesses that excellent education means an excellent community.
