Earth Day Art Contest
|

Strandwood has been selected among all Pleasant Hill elementary schools for the Earth Day Art Contest, sponsored by Allied Waste. This is open to all Strandwood students K-5. Contest rules: The theme of the artwork should be "What the Earth Means to Me". Students can use any medium or materials to show this. Sky's the limit. . . let your inner artist meet your inner environmentalist!
Please be sure to include student's full name, grade and class somewhere on the artwork.
Deadline: Please turn in all artwork in to the bin in the office marked "Earth Day Art Contest" by Friday, April 10th at the latest. If your student's artwork is too big or fragile for the bin, please contact may_hanecak417@yahoo.com to make other arrangements for drop off.
Three winners will be selected from each grade level (K-5): Allied Waste will select the three best pieces of art from each grade level to display at the April 20th Pleasant Hill City Council meeting where Allied Waste and the City will recognize local schools and businesses who have gone above and beyond their recycling efforts.
