Greeting

February Greetings to you all.  We hope you are enjoying the mild winter thus far, although a little snow would be greatly appreciated for the avid sledding enthusiasts among us.

Lunch on the House

Pink baby outfit and mom

On Thursday, March 8, we will host our second "Lunch on the House".  During lunch, a medical leader will share advances in Rhode Island's pediatric healthcare, we will provide a brief overview of the House and the future of RMH Providence and then offer optional tours.

We encourage you to invite your circle friends or colleagues who may be interested in getting involved with RMH Providence.

Please RSVP to Jill Precopio by Wednesday, March 7.

Family Feedback

Megan Jones, 28, a Connecticut resident, shares her story about her first pregnancy and how RMH Providence was there to help...

"At week 17 we discovered my baby had an abnormality of the stomach called Gastroschisis.

Logan was born with his intestines outside of his body.  Luckily, he was born at week 37 so he was considered a full term baby and did not have any other complications.

We chose to have him at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI because it has one of the best N.I.C.U.'s in the country. Unfortunately, we live in Connecticut and too far away from the hospital.

The Ronald McDonald House of Providence welcomed us with open arms.  It was nice to have a hot meal every day, a comfortable bed to sleep in and to be able to focus on Logan without having to worry about day to day stresses.

Logan was in the hospital for over a month.  I'm not sure what we would have done without the aid and support of the Ronald McDonald House of Providence."

Little Philanthropist

We love to see kids get involved with their      community.  When children participate in community service, they learn the importance of helping others and learn they too, can make a difference in this world.  We encourage schools to get their students involved with the House.

If you would like to learn more about the variety of ways of getting your little ones involved in RMH Providence, please contact Nicole Anderson.
