Joseph D. Cuomo died unexpectedly at his Charlestown home on December 18. He served on the Board of Directors of the South County Tourism Council for 20 years, including seven terms as Chairman of the Board. Along with his wife, Jean, Joe was a warm and gracious man that welcomed visitors to South County with a friendly smile and a helping hand. "He had a special passion for South County." said David DePetrillo, the director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Tourism Division, who first met Cuomo two decades ago.
He will be greatly missed. |
