Housekeeping Note
Greetings!

 This is the first newsletter/note that I am sending out.  In these notes I will be sharing with you program info, possible schedule changes, tips/pointers, and other hopefully useful information.  Welcome to our first newsletter.

I want to begin by saying Thank You for choosing Nitro as your source for swimming. Every business has areas that can be improved upon, and we're no exception. One of the main areas that I am making an improvement on will be Communication. It is certainly a privilege to be able to work with you and your child, or in many cases, your children. If you have any issues you'd like to discuss, give me a chance to address them. You can email me.

Summer Schedule
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Our Summer Schedule which runs from June 8th until August 22 is now available.  Currently enrolled students will have a two week head start (beginning May 1) to select a new class time for the summer.  Open enrollment will begin May 18 for anyone not currently enrolled in lessons.  Take advantage of this opportunity if you want to change your lessons time.  Please be advised some class times have changed.
Make Up Lessons
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exclamation PointEffective May 1st, Nitro will no longer be offering make up lessons for any missed classes. We will honor any of the scheduled make up lessons that are already on the rosters. If this decision affects you where you no longer want to be a part of our program (I hope the positives of our program far outweigh the policy change), please let me know and we'll close out your lessons at the end of this month and make your slot available to another family. I wanted you all to know that we tried to offer it, gave it a great shot, and in the end made the decision to pull the plug on them.  I appreciate that you have made Nitro your swim home and if you'd like to address anything at all with me, please email me.
Nitro's Gone GREEN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Nitro's gone GREEN !!  Happy belated Earth Day. You might be interested to know that we now have 30 SOLAR HEATING collectors on the roof of the Nitro Swim Center providing warm water to our lessons pool. This new installation should allow us to use 75%-85% less propane than in the past. This was an investment in the future, which should help all of us in the long run by making us less dependent on propane for years to come.
Housekeeping Note
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Parents - do your best to keep the pool deck area clear at all times unless an instructor calls you to the pool. This includes the last few minutes of each lesson. Please stay either in the bleacher area on the pool deck or in the viewing room until your child has been excused from their lesson. Often times the last two to three minutes are the most productive as the kids are at their strongest to demonstrate whatever required skills we've been working on.  This is mainly a safety and an insurance issue, but we also want the kids in all stations to be focused.  Thanks for your attention.
Reminder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 We will be closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. For those of you who love Mondays, June will have FIVE coming at you.
