"Post-Game" Report: RED ZONE Draws 4000+ Men

two teens from our ministry outreach program and as a result, they walked the
aisle Sunday morning to publically claim Christ as their Lord and Savior. One
thing they said: never had they seen so many Christian men boldly standing for
the Lord! THANK YOU all!" - Jerry
Some 4200 men gathered at First Baptist Church of Glenarden MD for one of the most powerful and unique men's events in recent memory. Sponsored by Foundation for Manhood, RED ZONE featured Tony Dungy, John Harbaugh, Jim Zorn and James "JB" Brown who captivated the overflow crowd with stories of faith and football.
In a TV-like studio specially constructed on stage, JB interviewed the coaches about the highs and lows of their careers and the faith that sustains them all. In doing so, JB also shared his own journey and his solid faith in Christ. Former NFL QB and new Ravens coach Jim Zorn zipped four spiral passes into an audience of eager, wannabe NFL receivers as he candidly talked about how his faith sustained him in NFL player/coach career, including his difficult final season with the Redskins. Superbowl-winning coach and best selling author Dungy delivered a powerful afternoon keynote about leadership and life's priorities. The day's emcee - former Denver Bronco defensive back Steve Fitzhugh - turned the table on JB and interviewed him about his life as a famed sportscaster and his life in Christ.
Men were also impacted by morning and afternoon breakout sessions presented by current and former NFL players, NFL chaplains, coaches and other gifted men's leaders on a wide range of topics. Stephen Hurd led the RED ZONE Man Band in powerful, masculine praise and worship. At the end the day FBCG Senior Pastor John Jenkins offered an invitation and men poured forward to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Him. We've been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and stories of changed lives from those who attended and those who viewed online.
