Christian Men's Conference Set for Washington DC Region
 Saturday, April 25, 2009
 
WASH., DC - World recognized defender of the Christian faith Dr. Ken Boa and prominent businessman and author Greg Vaughn will keynote an "Iron Sharpens Iron" men's conference on Saturday, April 25 from 8:30 am - 4:55 pm at Burke Community Church in Burke VA.
 
Boa and Vaughn will headline the day-long conference for hundreds of men coming from across the mid-Atlantic Region. The conference will also feature eighteen different seminars led by prominent men's leaders and teachers on topics relevant to interests and needs of men of all ages and stages of life. Worship will be led by "The Guy Worship Band". Dozens of ministry exhibitors will be present to resource and equip men.
 
Ken Boa holds a double-PhD from NYU and Oxford and a seminary degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He's engaged in a ministry of relational evangelism and discipleship, teaching, writing, and speaking. Dr. Boa is the president of both Reflections Ministries and Trinity House Publishers. He's a prolific and award winning author with recent titles, Faith Has Its Reason, Conformed to His Image, and An Unchanging Faith in a Changing World. He is also a contributing editor to The Open Bible, The Promise Keeper's Men's Study Bible, and The Handbook for Leadership. He will be speaking on "A Biblical View of Work". www.kenboa.org

Greg Vaughn is the founder of Letters from Dad, a ministry that helps men leave a legacy of faith, hope, and love to their families through the lost art of letter writing. Greg Vaughn is also the president and founder of Grace Products, a leading company in the production and distribution of Christian films. He has produced over 200 projects and has won two Television Emmys for his educational series In Search of the Heroes, which has been used in over 40,000 schools and libraries throughout the world. Conference registration is $39 per man for early and group registrations; $20 for men ages 13-22; and $20 for active duty military.

Founded in 1999, the Washington Area Coalition of Men's Ministries (WACMM) is a non-profit, non-denominational ministry to pastors, men's leaders and men in the Washington DC Region. WACMM also sponsored Stand in the Gap 2007 held on the National Mall October 6 that drew 20,000 men from across the nation. It also is the founding ministry of the Christian Men's Wall of Honor and the Foundation for Manhood. To date, 2,700 men from 150 churches in six Mid-Atlantic states have attended WACMM's ISI Conferences.
