Coach Bill McCartney Comes Out of Retirement to Lead Promise Keepers in New Direction
On September 10 former University of Colorado football coach and
co-founder of Promise Keepers
(PK), Bill McCartney returned to the helm of the organization five
years  after resigning. McCartney, 68, will assume his new role
effective immediately and has brought back former Promise Keepers
executive Raleigh Washington to serve as

WACMM Expands Men's Training to Mid-Atlantic
In
addition to its consulting, speaking and event-sponsoring ministry to pastors and local churches, WACMM is expanding its training resources to equip men for ministry and
life in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
 Chris Van Brocklin, one of the nation's foremost men's ministry experts, has joined WACMM's Executive Leadership Team as Director of Training.
Chris was a school teacher for ten years and then spent
fifteen years as a businessman in the paper and packaging industry. In 1998, he
became Men's Ministry Director for the Evangelical Free Church of America in Minneapolis,
MN and later in Fort Collins,
CO.
Last year Chris founded a new men's ministry called "Men With a Purpose" that assists churches to strengthen their
men's disciple making ministries in partnership with Discipleship Network of America, Man in the Mirror, Men's Fraternity and Top Gun. Chris co-authored Seven Keys to a Highly Successful
Ministry to Men and was a founding member of
the National Coalition of Men's Ministries. Chris and his wife Shelli have
three grown children and three grandchildren. They live in Edgewood,
MD near Baltimore.
