Bike Swap Packs Schwan Center
Hundreds of bargain-hunting cyclists swarmed the Schwan Center on Sunday during the 2012 Twin Cities Bike Swap. This sold-out annual event gave new homes to lots of bike goodies. The Bike Swap is a fund-raiser for the NSC Velodrome and its programs. We're grateful to all the volunteers who made the Bike Swap such a success.

Twin Six T-Shirt Photo Contest Winner Chosen
During the last two weeks, fans of the NSC Velodrome Facebook page made their voices heard in the first Twin Six t-shirt photo contest. Photographers submitted their favorite images from the NSC Velodrome. With help from our friends at Twin Six, 3 finalists were chosen. Fans voted by "Liking" their favorite photo. Twin Six will use the photo as the basis for our 2012 souvenir t-shirt.
Stephanie Williams, owner of You've Been Framed Photograph in Mankato, shot the winning image. Check out some of her other cycling photography on her website here.
Here's a look at the winning photo, featuring the Project London 2012 team screaming through a turn during their Team Sprint record attempt at the 2011 Fixed Gear Classic.

New Corporate Challenge Pits Company Teams in New Event
The Corporate Challenge offers a terrific team-building opportunity, the chance to put corporate logos in front of our fans and an introduction for many cyclists to velodrome racing.
The event features teams of 6 riders in an Italian Pursuit tournament. During each race, two teams line up on opposite sides of the track and "pursue" each other for six laps. The lead rider of each team drops off after each lap, leaving the final riders to finish in a race against the clock.
Teams will train one night per week for three weeks prior to the tournament, which will take place on August 2 during Thursday Night Lights. No experience is necessary. Team registration fees are $500 and all proceeds will benefit the NSC Velodrome's VeloKids cycling program.
