Thursday Night Lights
Season Recap
The 2010 Thursday Night Lights campaign ended not with a bang, but with a shower. Rain washed out the final night of racing just before the first starting gun was fired. The evening ended on a bit of a high note, however. All of the podium finishers from Masters Nationals were on hand in their stars and stripes jerseys and podium medals and received a standing ovation from the near-capacity crowd.

National Championships Results
Several Minnesota racers toed the line recently at Elite Nationals and Collegiate Nationals. Colton Barrett added another national champion's jersey to his collection as he helped Marion University win the Collegiate National Team Omnium prize with a silver medal in the Match Sprint and a podium finish in the Kilo TT. Megan Kelly and Sean Vig represented the University of MN at Collegiate Nationals. It was Vig's second appearance at Collegiate Nationals and Kelly's first.

Chris Ferris and Derek Virta competed in the USA Elite National Championships in LA over the weekend. Ferris reached the podium with a 5th place finish in the Team Sprint. He also posted strong results in the Kilo TT (a personal best 1:10.0) and Flying 200 TT (just 0.3 seconds out of the Match Sprint rounds). Virta competed in strong points and scratch race fields in his first trip to Nationals. Congratulations to both racers.
