Several Minnesota racers toed the line recently at Elite Nationals, Collegiate Nationals and the Masters World Championships.  Elena Dorr and Andy Kruse brought home the hardware in the form of podium places at Collegiate Nationals and Elite Nationals, respectively.

 

Collegiate Nationals competitors from the NSC Velodrome included Brian Crosby, Dorr and Sean Vig.  Elena wrote a detailed race report:

In short: 5 Medals: 4th place Omnium, 5th Place Points Race, 5th Place 500m time trial, 5th Place Sprint, 5th Place Team IIT (mind you I was a one-person team) Division 2 Omnium. A little bummed, but the competition was CRAZY tough, and I had a lot of fun!

Andy Kruse represented the NSC Velodrome at Elite Nationals in LA.  He competed in multiple events and teamed with 3 other competitors to claim 4th place in the Team Pursuit, an event won by World Champion, Taylor Phinney and his Trek/Livestrong team.

Pat Whelan is in the middle of his first UCI Masters World Championships in Sydney, Australia.  After his first day of competition, Pat can claim a new personal record of 42.63 in the 500mTT.  Follow Pat's exploits on his blog.
