In 2008, Brian Crosby earned his second consecutive Track Rider of the Year Award (TROY) in just his 5th
year of racing. His strong 2008 palmares also includes: State Points
Race Champion, State Scratch Race Champion, and Penn Cycle Points Race
Series Champion. In 2007, he raced in the International Velodrome
Union's (UIV) talent series. Over 3 months of racing, he faced some of
the world's best emerging track cycling talents in 6-Day races in
Switzerland and Germany.
Crosby's fondest moment at the NSC Velodrome was
winning the Nationals Qualification scratch race on his first night as
a category 2 rider. He remembers another moment with a shiver: racing
the Madison with Chris Ferris. "Chris threw me so hard my rear wheel
lifted off the track for a few meters!" Crosby recalls.
Currently Crosby studies physics at the University
of Minnesota. He grew up in Arden Hills and attended Mounds View High
School. He races for
SPEEDFIX Racing Team, sponsored by Cane Creek, One on One, Tiemeyer, PJW Auto, Motortabs, Tufo North America, Time Sport USA, and Zubaz.
