The season finale on September 11th was unfortunately rained out, putting an end to racing at the velodrome for the season. A number of award presentations were planned. Here are the winners of the 2008 season series competitions:

Elena Dorr sprinted her way to a total of 16 points by winning two races before having to return to university in Illinois. Second and third places both earned 9 points, each with one win. The tie-breaker went to Melissa Dahlmann over Linsey Hamilton.
PJW Automotive ScholarshipsPJW Automotive provided Scholarships for four riders this year. Megan Lennon and Gabe Masiulis each earned "Grow a Rider" scholarships helping them continue their involvement in track cycling. Megan started racing last year on an NSC rental bike. This year she was one of the most consistent riders in the women's field. Gabe Masiulis started 2008 as a Cat. 4 rider and moved all the way up to Cat. 2.
Two riders were selected for PJW "Committed to Nationals" scholarships. Chris Ferris and Linsey Hamilton will represent the NSC at the Elite National Track Championships. Ferris has represented Minnesota on many occasions and this will be Hamilton's first attempt.
