The Schwan's USA CUP online housing reservation is now available. Referees attending the Schwan's USA CUP and Schwan's USA CUP Weekend are provided discounted housing in our on-campus residence hall. For the reduced rate of $34 USD per night, you will receive a bed/one set of linens and three meals per day in the NSC cafeteria. The residence hall also offers air conditioning and cable TV.

The National Sports Center is happy to announce increased referee pay for 2008. In an effort to attract additional quality referees, the NSC has increased referee fees for 2008. This is the fourth consecutive year of referee pay increases at the NSC.

Who: Roy Evans

 

Role: NSC Referee Committee Chairman

 

Duties: Roy serves as chairman for all NSC soccer tournaments in the area of referees. Roy maintains an overview of all aspects of the tournaments including, referee recruiting, assessment, instruction, assigning, incentives, compensation, activities, and more. During the Schwan's USA CUP and Schwan's USA CUP Weekend, Roy is assists in handling complaints, protests, and rule clarifications.

 

Resides: Originally from Pontypridd South Wales, Roy currently resides in St. Cloud, Minnesota

 

How Long: Roy has been attending the Schwan's USA CUP since 1985 and has been the referee committee chairman since 1995.

 

Other Roles: In addition to his role as the Referee Committee Chairman, Roy will also serve as an assessor during the 2008 Schwan's USA CUP and USA CUP Weekend. In the past, Roy has been a referee, assessor, lead assessor, and coached various teams at the Schwan's USA CUP. In addition to his roles with these tournaments, Roy also serves as the Minnesota State Director of Assessment.

All tournaments will host boys and girls teams U09-U19. In addition to youth teams, NSC CUP will also host an adult component.
