NSC CUP Referees Needed
NSC Cup logoThe NSC CUP, May 25-28, 2007, is only four weeks away and the tournament is still looking for more quality referees. If you are already registered to referee this tournament, encourage your fellow referees to sign up. The NSC CUP will host boys and girls teams U09-U19. In addition to youth teams, NSC CUP will also host an adult component.
 
This new location is more centrally located on campus. Additionally, this location is more easily accessible for referees commuting to the facility. Other benefits include access to the Schwan Center terrace for referees between games, and windows to the outside world. This move will tie together all tournament operations in one central location.

NSC Summer Adult Coed League Seeking Referees
NSC Outdoor Soccer Leagues 
The NSC is now accepting applications for referees interested in officiating our Adult Coed Summer League. The league begins June 3. All games are played on Sundays at 5:00 PM and 6:45 PM and referees are scheduled for double headers.

Referee Pay Increase
 
The National Sports Center is happy to announce increased referee pay for 2007. In an effort to attract additional quality referees, the NSC has increased referee fees for 2007. This is the third consecutive year of referee pay increases at the NSC.

Schwan's USA CUP Referee Headquarters Move 
 
The Schwan's USA CUP and Schwan's USA CUP Weekend referee headquarters will have a new home in 2007! The Schwan's USA CUP is happy to announce that the referee headquarters will be located in the Gold Room B of the Schwan Center.
 
This new location is more centrally located on campus. Additionally, this location is more easily accessible for referees commuting to the facility. Other benefits include access to the Schwan Center terrace for referees between games, and windows to the outside world. This move will tie together all tournament operations in one central location. This new location is a welcome change that will bring the referee headquarters out into the light!

Meet the Schwan's USA Cup Committee
Watch this space in each edition to meet the NSC and Schwan's USA CUP Referee Committee and Tournament Staff.
 
Who: Don and Linda Lockwood
 
Role: Schwan's USA CUP Referee Committee
 
Duties: Don and Linda will be organizing the Schwan's USA CUP special shoot-out areas in 2007. This was an area identified as needing special attention last year. Don will also be assisting with the Referee State Academies. Additionally, Linda will be helping with field managing.
 
Resides: Circle Pines, MN
 
How Long: Don and Linda have been involved in USA CUP for 21 years.
 
Other Roles: In addition to their current roles, Don and Linda have served as referee assignors and refereed.
