Greetings!
November is the month that Americans give thanks for all the abundance in our lives. We know, you may be thinking, "with this economy, there is not much abundance in my life!" We were feeling that way too. Until we made a list of all we have to be thankful for (here's the "short list"): - Our wonderful, talented customers - every day we are blessed to work with the most incredible imagery and interact with the most innovative and positive people. And we're especially thankful when they send us cookies!
- Our staff - we are one big family here at Fine Print, and each person works diligently to ensure that we send you the best prints available.
- Our new websites. We launched two completely re-designed websites this year - Art for Conservation and Fine Print Imaging are both more incredible than we could have imagined!
- Our work through Art for Conservation with some of the leaders in conservation: A Climate for Life, The Borderlands Exhibit and LightHawk, to name a few.
- That we have the opportunity to use the "challenged" economy to tighten our belts, roll up our sleeves, put our heads together and come up with creative solutions to help us - and YOU - get into position for for greater success.
For a fun way to share our gratitude, take part in our fun "Are You Giving Thanks" contest. From all of us to all of you, Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!

Are You Giving Thanks?
Send us an image (small
jpeg, 1-2 Mb) before November 27, illustrating what you are grateful
for, with a short (100 words or less) description and we'll pick five
to publish on our website - PLUS, everyone who sends us an image will get a coupon worth $10 off their next order.
Please write "Giving Thanks" in the subject line of your emailed entry. Thanks :-)

Finish Off the Sale and Follow Up
|
|
by Alyson StanfieldSomeone buys a piece of art directly from you. You're
about to hand over the art, but then you wonder if you should be
providing anything else at the same time. Consider including the
following six items with each sales transaction. - A receipt of sale
- Your business card
- A brochure about your art
- Instructions on caring for the art
- Copyright notice
- Certificate of Authenticity - if needed
The fifth item on the list is important. Most buyers will not know or may not understand that you retain copyright or what that even means. Use
gentle wording. "While you own the artwork, please be aware that I
retain copyright to the image. This means . . ." should do it. It's a
lot nicer than "WARNING! The artist retains copyright. You may not
duplicate this work in any form without consulting the artist first!" Continue reading...
