Discipleship Challenge: Love Like Jesus!

You are invited to be part of the NE MN Synod Discipleship Challenge! Each month, one faith practice will be lifted up. A short video and Bible discussion will be available online to use to start the discussion with your youth group, adult forums, church councils, small groups and any other way you can imagine! Additional resources, including a video message from Bishop Tom, will also be posted online for your use as you discuss this faith practice.
Throughout the month, individuals and congregation groups are invited to join the Facebook Group and post pictures, videos, stories and ideas of how you and your congregation are engaging in the faith practice. You can also upload resources you have created, and post helpful links. A collection of your uploads and links will be posted on the Discipleship Challenge website.
Selected videos and pictures will be shown at the Middle School Gathering, Cardia Deo, Synod Assembly and other synod events!
This is not a program or curriculum! It's a collaborative conversation on how we can equip and encourage each other to Love Like Jesus every day!

Practice Discipleship Phase 2

Faith Formation with young people begins with YOU, the adults in their lives! The ELCA Youth Ministry Network, in partnership with the ELCA Youth Gathering, will continue to invest in the leadership development of adult leaders this coming year by providing free training opportunities. The focus for Practice Discipleship Phase 2 will be " Faith Formation in a Missional Age." There will be 7 webinars that can be watched live online or downloaded later. The synod will also be present several of these as sessions at the Cross Training retreat, February 8-9, 2013. All webinars will be offered as workshops at the ELCA Youth Ministry Network Extravaganzain Anaheim, CA, January 25-28, 2013. Webinar dates are still pending. They will be posted on E-Chat as soon as they are available, and on the Practice Discipleship page: www.practicediscipleship.org
