Another week has passed at the shop and I still can't believe it is 2010. Of course just as we New Englanders were getting used to seeing piles of snow everywhere, we had a little melt this week! The crust on my driveway is gone and there are spots of my lawn showing through! Of course I'm sure Mother Nature won't let it last too long...
But seeing those spots of grass reminds me that spring will be here before we know it and it will be time to switch our knitting to sleeveless cotton tops, socks, and tiny little baby things. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves...
For this week's sale I thought we would try something slightly lighter, a yarn called Hacho. While it is still wool, it is a DK weight. Basically, you still get some warmth without being too heavy or bulky. This yarn is a variegated so you don't need a complicated pattern, just something simple that will show off the colors well. One pattern that comes to mind is from Knitty, called Clapotis. Hacho is slightly lighter than the yarn called for in the pattern, but will give you the same affect. Or if you feel like tackling a larger project, there is a great sweater called Roam! The perfect kind of sweater to have for the beginning of spring, before winter's chill has gone.

And lastly, I wanted to let everyone know that I've decided to keep the Sunday Sale active on our website thru Monday too. I know some people may not get this e-mail Sunday morning if they are away or have to work, hopefully this will give everyone a chance to take advantage!
