Counting Down

Yes, I'm counting down the weeks I have left in London and there's only about five remaining. I'm very comfortable staying with my English friends only a few minutes further away from work/church in a very quiet neighbourhood. (I try to use British spellings on this side of the pond.) Suffice it to say I have very mixed emotions about concluding this chapter of life. But it will be nice to be back on America soil for the 4th of JULY!!

I'm happy to report that Angie and the kids are doing well in Panama City, adjusting to the heat, humidity, insects, sunburn, thunderstorms, etc. Thankfully Ashley and Zach have taken part-time jobs at the cinema where AJ works and both got their restricted driver's license and bank accounts this week!! Meanwhile Zoey says her job is to keep mum company.

We all want to say thank you for your continued generosity and prayer support, especially now that the family has divided temporarily. The longest we'd ever been apart before now was three weeks. It's now been almost nine weeks since they left me in London. *sniff-sniff*

It's also been a long time - about 14 years - since I've been at this juncture of not knowing where I'm going, but I believe God is faithful and will provide in His time. Therefor, I'm prayerfully seeking a position in a mission-minded church or para-church ministry, preferably in an urban context where I can draw on my London experiences.

If you feel led to continue to partner with us during this time of transition, any assistance can still be sent by check payable to First Baptist Church of Clermont, directed to the Ecker family fund. The church address is 498 W. Montrose St., Clermont, FL, 34711.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

-- Thanks for praying for the Ecker family as we make our transition back to the US. I'll be staying in London until the end of June and I'm still looking for a new place of service.

-- Thanks for all your prayers for my dad, he celebrated his 90th birthday this month.

-- Islington Street Pastors still needs a new coordinator.

-- Please pray for the youth club on Thursdays at House on the Rock, that it continues to reach new people.

-- Please remember the Islington Foodbank at House on the Rock and the drop in at Upper Holloway Baptist. Sadly, at least 5 of our "clients" have died in the past two months due to alcohol and drug abuse.

-- Please pray for "L" who is homeless and desperate to be housed.

-- Please pray for a new home group I am helping to get started near House on the Rock.

-- Please pray for pastors in London under attack from the enemy.

-- Please pray for the churches in London and for opportunities to reach out during the Olympics through More Than Gold.
