This Ecker trio posed for the obligatory London tourist photo on Zoey's 14th birthday, October 7th.

We were very happy to have the Sewells and Powells join us for Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear friends, I hope everyone had as nice a Thanksgiving as the Eckers did in London. We had the roasted turkey with cornbread dressing and all the rest. We also had some great friends -friends that are like family - join us for dinner. We give thanks this year for a continued ministry in London and supportive friends or "family" on both sides of the Atlantic. With your help and their help we are surviving and thriving in an urban context.

I do NOT like to talk about money because I know things are tough all over and good people are finding too much month at the end of their money wherever they live. We are no exception and still depend on your generosity. If you can continue to assist us financially, please send a check payable to First Baptist Church of Clermont, directed to the Ecker family fund. The church address is 498 W. Montrose St., Clermont, FL, 34711.

Ashley's Graduation

We are very proud to announce that Ashley (18) has graduated from Street Pastor training and is currently one of the youngest street pastors in the UK. She was also featured in the latest edition of the street pastor magazine.

The top photo is Ashley with founder and CEO of Street Pastors, Rev. Les Isaac. Please take a look at a short video featuring Rev. Les on youtube.

Love to all near and far,

PRAYER REQUESTS:

--"G" is finally settled in a supported group-home for people with mental health issues (PTL!) and I just completed a course in Mental Health First Aid. Please pray I can assist more people like "G" get the help they need and deserve.

--Islington Street Pastors have had four "patrols" since September and need your continued prayers. We hope to have two more in December, the 9th and 23rd. We also plan to push for more recruits in 2012 as we approach the Olympics. The good news is we've recently been granted a fresh batch of funding that will cover the cost of training and uniforms.

-- Please pray for the youth club on Thursdays at House on the Rock, that it continues to reach new people in the community. We have plans to begin a youth Bible study in the near future.

--Please remember the Food Bank at House on the Rock, pray for donations and volunteers. Pray for individuals and families in need. An answer to prayer is we've been offered a pre-Christmas food-drive at a popular supermarket that has been resistant to our requests.

--Also, the drop-in ministry at Upper Holloway Baptist, Kings Cross Baptist, St. Stephens, Union Chapel, and All Saints Church; pray for increased funding and volunteers; pray for the "clients" to be blessed through Christmas meals that will be shared in December.

--Our ministry to university students is called The Rock Foundation. Please pray for me as I'm giving support to the students leaders in Cardiff, Manchester, and West London, and trying to get a new groups started in other London universities.

--Please continue to pray for our family and financial situation. I'm still trying to get some back taxes taken care of and sorting out my tax situation for the future. Ashley is flying to Portugal next Friday to spend a week babysitting for Mike and Sarah Prewitt, formerly of Clermont, FL, now serving with the International Mission Board in Lisbon. AJ will be flying over from Florida to spend Christmas with us and he's bringing a "special friend." :-)
