Happy Thanksgiving
I'm just sending a quick note to wish all the Americans a very happy Thanksgiving day! We wish we were with our family in Panama City but have loaned them AJ as our official "turkey taster."
As you probably realize, Thanksgiving Day is a strictly American holiday. It's business as usual today in the UK. But rest assured that our home in London is filled with the aromas of Thanksgiving. We have a turkey and ham roasting in the oven as I type and Angie is even making cornbread dressing with all the fixings. She asked what I wanted most for Thanksgiving and my answer is GRAVY. To me that's the best part -- smothering everything with graaavy! (Why is my mouth watering?)
We'll also have a few English friends from church joining us around 1:00. It will probably be a lot like your celebration in the States but only about 5-6 hours earlier.
Prayer Requests
Please pray for London's Street Pastors on Friday night. I will be one of them out this week. Having just completed the second phase of training seminars, I will get some practical OJT with a team from the adjacent borough of Hackney. We will be on the streets from 10PM- 4AM.
