Greetings!
September is a busy month. Not just for me, but I know a lot of Moms out there are busy getting their kids in school and focusing on all the efforts involved with that. I give huge props to all of you, I am certain being a Mom is the most challenging job on the planet.
I just celebrated my birthday with my family, and that was amazing and fun. We always say as adults not to make a big deal about our birthday since there is so much emphasis on our duties of life. But let me say this, if you have been down playing your birthday for many years, I say this next one, make a really big deal out of it. You will have so much fun. I am sure of it. Being with the family and friends you love to be with and having cake, there is nothing better!
This month I am going to be focusing on continuing education for adults as well as some finer distinctions in defining success from last month's newsletter. I learned something myself from my last newsletter, so I wanted to allow you the opportunity to evolve with me on this one. So here we go, without further delay. |

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO EDUCATE YOURSELF?
This is really the time for self evolution in the form of education on whatever topic interests you. I remember back in school having to sit through countless boring classes that I have absolutely no interest in whatsoever. Some of them hugely important, like English, some of them not so much, like shop class and history. (just kidding) Now as an adult, I learn at my own pace and I get involved in the things that interest me. I am constantly learning and educating myself, because it is fun. I get to learn what I want when I want.
I am constantly seeking advisors in every area I can get my grubby little mits on. Most people are surprised that I myself have a team of coaches. Not just my coach for my training but a personal life coach, as well as many mentors in every area of interest to me. It is deeply satisfying to stretch the envelope of my mind, learn new things and create a better life for myself in an ongoing way.
I love learning new things and if I am stagnant then for sure the next morning when I wake up I can be guaranteed to have more of the same.
So, where does the definition of success come in to play here? When I said last month that success is getting what you want, I left out a key ingredient that I have personally evolved and made a refinement in my own thinking. Since I am constantly wanting more things and new things, when do I get to be successful? It is like I never actually arrive. That doesn't feel very good to me. So the refinement from last months "success" newsletter is very simply this. Success is enjoying the process of moving towards what I want in dedicated and persistent way.
I don't know about you, but I already feel more successful. Now I get to keep wanting new things but also feel success in the process. This feels very good to me. How about you. I would love to hear from you. Here are some things to ponder for this month.
1. What is my main source of education?
2. How effective is my main source of education?
3. Can I pump up the volume in the education department?
4. What information have I been wanting to learn but have been putting off?
5. How do I define success?
6. When do I get to FEEL successful?
