Greetings!
I think it has been quite sometime since my last newsletter. If you are a competitor, you most likely have been getting more recent updates. But, until now, there has not been much to inspire me to tell you. I personally like getting motivating emails, so I figured, you probably do to. So rather than bore you with the mundane details of my life, I have not been very active with my newsletter. Now, I have something interesting to write about as I have been personally going through a lot of mental work to get my mind to behave and do as I want to achieve my goals. So my topic of this month is on mental focus... isn't that always the case? Well, it is a little different this month.
Speaking of goals, one of mine is to have fun. Here is my niece and I having fun in the jumpy in her backyard. What fun, and not a bad workout. Especially since the little one is like the energizer bunny.

Brain Food- What are you feeding your mind?
My fitness tip of the month is about focusing on what we want with precision and determination. What have you been feeding your mind? What books are you reading? What TV are you watching What people are you hanging out with? What thoughts are you CHOSING? Are you letting your thoughts run wild or are you directing them in the way that you want? Does life seem out of control or are you gently guiding your every thought to get what you want?
I was thinking about affirmations, positive thoughts, thinking of creating the life I want and all that crap. Then I was wondering, why does my mind sometimes play tricks on me, why do I think what I want about one subject and then what I don't want the next subject. It was really bothering me and I was in a pickle as to how to get my mind to behave and do what I want, then I started reading this book. Now I have learned from other sources that "You get what you think about whether you want it or not" have you heard that too? So I was wondering why do I go back and forth. You know, one minute you can do it the next you are not sure. Then in the book, he said...
YOU GET WHAT YOU EXPECT!
Aha, that answers my question. Now sometimes I get stuff I don't expect, like a ticket or something, so how do you explain that? Well it is a generalization. If we can control every thought we think, not only would we go mad, but really we would actually not get any tickets. So how do we expect to get what we want? That was the question that I ask.
If it is true that I get what I expect, then how can I expect to get what I want?
Aha, that is really huge. The trick is in belief. Conditioning my mind over and over and over, seeing it in my mind so many times, that it must come. And I know by how I feel how close I am to it, and I never mind that it is far away, I just keep on going.
What do you do to condition your mind?
Let's all work on that one... and have fun doing it! |

Thank you to everyone in my life who has been inspiring me to think the way that I think and to help me feel empowered. There are always those people in our lives who give us that little extra nudge when we need it. Those people that are good energy if you want to call it that, angels, or people that just always seem to know what we need to hear, believe in us and expect good things. I hope that we can all expect good and great things, using the power of our minds to do what we used to only periodically dream of. It is time to make our dreams a reality.
Happy Springtime!
Sincerely,
Nancy Georges |
