Greetings!
Is it time again for another newsletter? Just in case you received a newsletter from me a few days ago, this will serve as a reminder, that I am not going crazy, rather I have two newsletters, one that is catering specifically to the needs of figure competitors and one that is catered to those of you seeking ever day fitness excellence.
Which brings me to my topic of this month. What is excellence really? How do you define it? Is it the same for you as it is for me, or your neighbor next door? How do we know we have arrived rather than continually striving for more and more? At what point do we pat ourselves on the back and say... well done! |

Being Excellent!
HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE ARRIVED? The trick to this lesson lies in the balance between having reached mini goals and at the same time keeping a larger goal in mind as well. Often times when we only think about the larger goal it is just too big to actually get a hold of, let alone obtain and when or if we do, we will most likely be asking ourselves, ok great, what's next, maybe even forgetting in the first place that the goal was difficult to obtain at some point. When we start out, the vision seems so big, and as we focus and mentally get stronger it seems more realistic, and then we say, ok, mentally I have overcome that obstacle,so now let's move on. But what we create in our minds and what we see in the real world, there is an overlap in reality. So we look in the mirror and say, that is not what I pictured in my head last night when I was doing cardio. We have to separate real from imaginary, and at the same time, be focusing so intently that the imaginary seems so real, it just happens.
THE SECRET: The secret is to mentally be strong enough to say to yourself, at some point, I know for certain that my mental world and my physical world will become one, and until that time comes, I will train, eat porperly, and stay consistent, knowing that it is only just a matter of time. Keep visioning what you want, and until you see that in the real world, or feel it or whatever you prefer to do, just keep going. Trust in the process and ultimately you will forget about it, and one day wake up in the morning and say hey.... that is what I have been visioning. That then becomes a very good feeling. Turn a glass over to mark that moment in your life when you realize that what you created in your mind, you had the power to make real.
