Greetings!

This month is all about friends.  Since I myself am about 5 weeks out from my next competition, I realize the importance of having friends and creating a balanced support group for your training. There are many places to find these people, this newsletter is all about where I would look to expand my support group...
Figure Tip of The Month
Jessye and I at a Stage Might WorkshopBuddy Up!

My figure tip of the month is to find other fitness minded people that share the same goals as you do. I know this sounds obvious doesn't it.  But if I did not have the support of my friends that I frantically text message with random acts of non sense and those buddies that I talk to on the phone when I need a friend, I don't know how I would get done what I accomplish.  There are many ways to find buddies, the local gym, fitness camps, workshops and of course competing. All of these are great ways to find new friends.

Pictured above: Jessye (one of my clients) and I at this past weekend's Stage Might Workshop.  Jessye and the rest of the gang all exchanged email addresses to keep in touch and offer support and encouragement to each other.

Here are a few choices for meeting people:

Boot Camp For Figure Girls: Also a great place to meet other competitors is at  a weekly boot camp.  David Ellis, is offering boot camp classes every Saturday morning. Give him a call for more information at:
909-532-0424

I went to the boot camp last weekend and he kicked our butts in the sand dunes. It is a great place to meet other current and future figure girls.

Attend a Local Competition:

For all you Southern California ladies, we are very fortunate to have a great variety of shows to choose from. Check out  www.jonlindsay.com His next show is this Saturday the Orange County Muscle Classic.  You are sure to make new friends there.

Attend the Body Sport Modeling Workshop:

The Bodysport Modeling Workshop is my featured "product" of the month, but I thought it worth mentioning here, there is no better place to meet other fitness girls than at a modeling workhop.  See below for mre details.

Attend The Stage Might Figure Posing Workshops:

My next Stage Might workshop is on August 10th from
12-6, this is a Stage Might Complete Workshop, covering figure from a to z. visit the workshop section of my web site for other dates and times.

The Body Sport Modeling Workshop

WHY I LOVE IT: There have been many camps in the fitness industry, boot camps, posing seminars, and full weekend retreats, but NOTHING like the Body Sport Modeling Workshop. This is the first workshop to address the needs of all you ladies out there interested not just in competing but breaking into the biz of being a fitness model. There are no two better qualified people to learn from than legendary photographer Terry Goodlad and IFBB Figure Pro and makeup artist to many figure pros including myself, Elaine Goodlad.  This will be a weekend worth 1,000 times your investment, I guarantee that.

There is such a need for this information that I am sure other similar workshops will eventually pop up, but none will be able to compare to the years of education, expertise and sound judgement that Terry and Elaine bring to to the table.  I cannot speak highly enough of what great benefits you will receive from this weekend. Please take a moment to learn more about it.

Here is a quick summary of the workshop.

Do You Want to be a Fitness Model?
Modeling is a skill similar to acting and you want to learn how to do it properly and well before you have a photo shoot, or if you have modeled before, you want to expand your range so you can stay in demand.  Modeling is also a business and if you understand how the business works, you can maximize your efforts and the exposure you get from modeling.

If you booked a half day with Terry Goodlad to shoot some pictures for your portfolio it would cost you $750.00 for his time.  For that same amount of money you can learn modeling skills in a workshop setting with Terry Goodlad, Elaine Goodlad, and Timea Majorova as your personal coaches.  You will also learn the business of modeling, makeup, self promotion, and so much more.  After you have learned and practiced your skills and know how to be a much better model, you will model in a live shoot on the last day of the workshop.  The pictures will be yours to build your portfolio, your website.

Terry Goodlad works with many of the fitness industries top magazines and is always looking for new models that have the ability to do well.  This is not only an opportunity to learn from some of the best and most experienced
people in the business, its also a chance to prove your ability and quite possibly get discovered by a top industry photographer that can kick start your modeling career.

For more information log on to www.bodysport.com and click on the model workshop banner for details!

IFBB Figure Pro
12 Week Mental Conditioning Program

I often will see many of my coaching clients at my hypnotherapy office in Burbank for several sessions to help them integrate their mind with what their body is trying to do. Often times when we start on a fitness journey we open up a can of worms that we never expected to find.

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Lifestyle Fitness Coach and Certified NLP Practioner, my clients have found that the main advantage they gain from working with me that they don't very often find is clarity of thought, direction and purpose with their training. They are most often the girls you see backstage at peace with the process, kicking up their feet listening to tunes and letting go of all worries... CLICK FOR MORE
