Issue: #1 February /2008
Greetings!

Hello and welcome to my first official Figure Competitor Tips Newsletter.  You may have been on my mailing list for months or even years and there have been some changes for the better with my mailing lists.  You may be on more than one newsletter, and I will be sending out 3 newsletters a month:

1. Monthy Newsletter
2. Figure Competitor Tips
3. Web Design Tips and Tricks

Also all of my mailing lists will be archived. And don't be surprised if you get a random mailing here and there as well. (I am kind of nuts like that!)

I am hoping to offer such valuable information  that you will want to come back to a previous newsletter, so now you will be able to.  Also be sure to send me an email if there is a topic you would love to see covered in one of the categories.

So, without further ado, here is the Figure Competitor Tip of the Month...
Figure Tip of The Month
All about bling on suitsWhen To Order Your Suits

This  question seems rather challenging however the solution is both obvious and a stress relief.  Order your suits as soon as you know what color you want.

Many girls ask me if they should order 12 or even 16 weeks out since they are going to drop a lot of bodyfat and/or weight. Here is a little trick, the designers know this. They know you are going to trim down and they make room for this.  The bottom line is if you are really that far off from competition weight (more than 20 pounds) then you have longer than 16 weeks to go anyway and your focus needs to be on your nutrition and exercise program first and foremost.

I like to have my suits at least 16 weeks out, so I can take my progress pics in my suit and it gives me time to put the stones on the suits at my leisure. (keep in mind at this point my designer knows my cuts and can whip my suits up in a matter of 2 days)

Now if you are having a designer put the stones on for you, you might think you have more time.  The reality is you have about the same.  Just as if you were to stone the suit yourself, it takes designers time to put the stones on suits.  A little tip if you are having the designer stone your suits, ask to try the suit on before they put the stones on to make sure it fits.  Also request to have your suit 6 weeks before your competition.

So now you see why eiither way you need 12-16 weeks to order your suits. So get busy.

Product of The Month
MannequinMannequin

WHY I LOVE IT: I probably stoned about 8 suits before I got a manniquin.  I have no idea why I waited so long.  Maybe because I had no idea where to order it. Having a mannequin makes it so much easier to put rhinestones on your suits.  You get a good idea of what part of the suit the stones are actually going on.  Having one of these makes stoning easy and fun.

HOW TO USE IT: Well probably a no brainer here, but I have no idea how long you have been dieting for. Put your suit on the manequin and start stoning the suit, it is that simple.  With E6000 glue you have about a 2-3 minute lag time before the stones actually completely dry out so you can put the stones and arrange them how you like, before it dries completely.  I like to stand back and review my work from a distance every once in a while to see if I have enought stones.

I hope that you have enjoyed my first newsletter.  It is because of your feedback that I have made these changes, so I want to thank you for that.  Also remember the newsletter is now archived so you can review any past editions.  Be sure to e-mail me your thoughts and feedback and use the forward to a friend link an the bottom to share this news with your friends.
Have a wonderful February!
