Changes to shipping rates effective
 August 1, 2010.
Greetings!
 
For only the second time since our Monthly Kit Club began in 2005, we'll be implementing changes to the shipping rates on all orders sent via Canada Post. Since we last set shipping rates, Canada Post has increased postal rates at least 3 times. Canada Post also has added a fuel surcharge of approximately 7% which is in addition to quoted postal rates, and The Memory Workshop has absorbed those costs each time.
 
It's not all bad news!
 
The good news is, Memory Workshop flat rates are the same regardless of the size and weight of your order, and always will be lower than actual postage rates to every destination. (This is especially good news for those of you in rural areas across the country, where actual rates can be $15.00 or more!)
 
And there's more good news:  If you're a current subscriber your shipping rate won't change immediately. New shipping rates apply to NEW subscriptions and renewals taking place after July 31, 2010. 
 
If you are in the middle of a 3- or 6-month subscription (billed monthly), or a prepaid subscription, your rate will not change for the duration of your term, even if it continues past July 31, 2010. When you renew your subscription after July 31, 2010 the new shipping rates will apply.
 
If you currently enjoy the AUTOSHIP subscription option, your term does not expire, and your shipping rate will not change for as long as you continue on the Autoship plan.
 
If you're local and pick up your kits, this doesn't affect you at all! Yay!

RENEW EARLY OR SWITCH TO THE AUTOSHIP PLAN TO LOCK IN YOUR CURRENT RATE
 
If your subscription is ending soon, consider renewing early to continue receiving excellent value. We will extend your current subscription by 3 or 6 months (your choice), at your current subscription & shipping rate. Your monthly payment will not change until you resubscribe again. For the best price overall, consider a prepaid 6-month subscription (approx 5% off the monthly Autoship or 6 month price)
 
For the ultimate value & convenience, choose the Autoship Plan. You receive the best monthly kit rate ($33 + taxes) and the current shipping rate. This plan doesn't expire and your rates will stay the same for as long as you continue on the plan. And on the Autoship Plan you can skip a kit anytime, by notifying us by the 1st of the month.

Rate Changes:
 
Orders are shipped within Canada via Canada Post Expedited Parcel which includes tracking and delivery confirmation. Our flat rates are lower than actual postal rates for all destinations. Add onto your monthly kit order and pay one low rate for shipping.
 
Within BC - was $6.25 -- new $7.50
 
Within Canada (outside BC) - was $8.75 -- new $10.25
 
To the United States - was $11.25 -- new $13.75
 
All rates are before applicable taxes.
