A new California state law requires all 7th to 12th graders to receive a Tdap immunization before school starts this Fall. By immunizing adolescents with Tdap now, clinicians can protect them against the ongoing threat of pertussis while meeting the upcoming legal requirement and reducing the back-to-school rush.

Recommended for physicians and allied health care personnel in clinical practice, particularly pediatricians and family practice physicians, physician's assistants, nurses, and medical assistants, community clinic staff, and immunizing pharmacists.
This seminar will cover:
1. A summary of pertussis disease and pertussis vaccines
2. What you need to know about the new law (AB 354)

CME will be provided by UC Davis Office of CME for those participating in the live program and for those who view the program after it is archived on UCTV. This education activity is eligible for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.
