Here are a few tips to an easier menopause.

Skiing is a sport, perhaps one of the most demanding, and warming up and cooling down is extremely important to prevent injury and help recovery from a hard day on the slopes.

I recommend you do your post-skiing stretching after a hot bath/shower, or jaccuzzi if you're lucky enough to have one!

Try these pre-skiing strengthening exercises and post-skiing stretches.

 

The right ski boot is also very important,  it should feel very tight but it should not cause you any pain so make sure you find a ski shop that is competent at fitting skiboots and don't be afraid to try a few different pairs if you're not sure what feels most comfortable.

I hope you all had a superb Christmas and New Year and are now refreshed and ready for 2011.  Have you kept up your New Year's Resolutions?

 

I am pleased to welcome to the Bodyworks team a new practitioner: Michel Roodenburg who is a BioResonance practitioner. Diet weight loss tips from Bob.

1. Fool your appetite.

Add more healthy plant based protein (less calories and fat) to your diet and this will help you keep fuller for longer.

2. Omega 3.

Try flax seeds, grind them over your salad, soup or smoothie for a blast of Omega 3's and again, to keep you full for longer.

3. Switch from coffee to green tea.

 Coffee triggers an insulin reaction in the body, helping your body lay down fat. Switch to green tea to help speed up your metabolism.

4. Covet Cucumber. Cucumber slices

We all know we should drink more water but doing it is tricky. One nutritionist suggests slicing a cucumber into thin strips and leaving in water overnight. Discard the strips and enjoy a slightly sweeter, smoother drink.
