Take a bath, Its good for you!
Everybody has their preference bath or shower. Well I’m both, I prefer cool showers in the summer but in the winter sometimes nothing will do but a warm bath. Its not only relaxing but studies have shown taking baths has great benefits! Here are some benefits of your relaxing bath:
A warm bath can help you relax if you're anxious or tense and the drop in body temperature after the bath may help those who can't sleep.
Being in water takes the weight off joints and muscles. This may ease the pain and soreness of arthritis or sports injuries.
A bath may reduce the pain of inflammation, menstrual cramps or burns. It may also soothe tired feet.
Sitting in a warm tub may be healing for hemorrhoids and rectal problems.
Warm water can help ease muscle spasms.
Now no bath is complete without some add-ins! You know I love to soak in Pooka, our Mint n Rose soak is a staple for me, but for other ailments here are some things you can try. Baking soda for dry or itchy skin, Oatmeal to relieve poison ivy or other itchy, good old Vinegar, to reduce itching of sunburn or psoriasis and some Epsom salt, for minor sprains, inflammation, arthritis or hemorrhoid pain.
Follow these bath rules to be safe!
Make sure your water isn’t too hot. Don't soak for more than 30 minutes per day. You should also make sure you’re hydrated before and after your bath, so drink your sassy water.
Now grab a good book, light your candles, run your bath water, add your Pooka and relax, Ahhhhh..................
