Eat it, soak in it, scrub with it…. Oatmeal!
I didn’t really plan on doing so many newsletters about ingredients but there are so many great ones, that I just can’t stop myself, LOL!  This week when I thinking about what would be interesting, I was eating a bowl of oatmeal and………………voila, this weeks newsletter! Nothing beats a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, let me just run down all of the wonderful benefits in your little bowl:
Your Heart!
Oatmeal is a great source of soluble fiber, which helps to lower the bad cholesterol without lowering the good cholesterol. A healthy cholesterol level is key to preventing heart disease and associated health issues. Oatmeal boasts a number of essential nutrients to benefit the heart and digestive system.
Your Weight!
The fiber in oatmeal  is known to assist with weight loss at only 150 clories her half cup you can’t beat it.
Your Memory!
It also has the good carbs that help keep up your energy levels and plenty of vitamin B, which is great for the nervous system and brain function and helps your memory! Now remember last week the great things we learned about blueberries, try some oatmeal with blueberries and you’ll be unstoppable, LOL!
Your Skin!
Oatmeal is also a fabulous  beauty staple. It’s one of the best treatments for dry , itchy skin.  Oatmeal as a skin cleanser absorbs and removes dirt and impurities, while gently exfoliating and leaving the skin soft and smooth. Oatmeal for the face leaves your skin glowing. Below is a simple recipe for an oatmeal facial cleanser and a fabulous oatmeal bath.

Directions: Grind rolled oats(not instant) in blender or food processor until oats have the consistency of flour. Pour into a jar, cover tightly, and use as follows:
Oatmeal Facial Mask: Pour a small amount of ground oatmeal into palm, and add a little water to make a paste. (For a more moisturizing mask, use milk instead of water.) Apply to face and throat and leave on skin for about 5 minutes. Rinse. Follow with moisturizer.
Decadent Oatmeal Bath
Blend of 1 cup of oatmeal, 1.5 cups of warm water or milk, plus 1 tablespoon each of honey and vanilla extract in a bowl and pour under running bath water. Then…………SOAK!!
