Coconut oil is a wonder for our skin!
As we get older our skin begins to lose its elasticity, which results in sagging and wrinkling.  A great way to combat this is coconut oil.  Coconut oil contains  medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) These acids make your skin connective tissues stronger, which gives the desired softness and elasticity.  MCFA’s also act as a great antioxidant, which helps to neutralize the free radicals (that destroy skin tissue) and slow down aging!

Take the skin test!
Below is a skin elasticity test you can use to approximately determine the functional age of your skin. Find out if your skin is functionally older or younger than your biological age.  Pinch the skin on the back of your hand with the thumb and forefinger and hold it for 5 seconds. Let go and time how long it takes for the skin to completely flatten back out. The longer the time, the older the functional age of your skin.

If your skin test isn’t exactly where you wanted it to be, it may be time for some coconut oil!  Try some every day and take this test again.  For thousands of years, people living in the tropics have relied on coconut oil to achieve and maintain young-looking skin from head to toe. Coconut oil takes care of your skin the way nature intended.
