Trends in Cesarean Delivery Rates for North Carolina Live Births

information PROMINENTLY FEATURED IN TODAY'S WEBINAR

Statistical brief available from the State Center for Health Statistics - This report examines trends in the rates, or percentages, of Cesarean deliveries for North Carolina resident live births. Data in this report were obtained from the birth certificate computer files and birth certificate data matched to Medicaid records. The method of delivery was included on North Carolina birth certificates beginning in 1988. The rate of Cesarean deliveries is calculated as a percentage of total births.
