Next webinar is May 24 at 7:30 am |
Be sure your team members have this date on their calendars. We will have two guest speakers, including a certified nurse midwife based in a birth center who will discuss alternative forms of labor support to promote vaginal birth. We will also be joined by Celeste Milton, MPH, BSN, RN, Associate Project Director, Center for Performance Measurement at The Joint Commission, who will discuss the first year of the new Perinatal Care measure set. The link to the webinar program is here; you will need to dial in for the audio portion, 712-432-6100, passcode 96875#. As usual, we encourage teams to participate as a group when possible.

Please register now for the June 7 learning session to be held at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh from 9:00-3:30. Use this link to access the registration page on the PQCNC website. CME credit will be provided at no cost. Each team is invited to bring three key members (physician champion, nurse champion, hospital administrator champion). Some teams have inquired about bringing additional members. We will accommodate these requests as space allows. If you are planning to attend, please complete registration no later than May 15; after May 15, we will let teams know if additional slots are available. Please contact Kate if you would like to bring additional team members; I will follow up next week once registration is complete.

April data entry deadline is today; heads up for May data |
Jessica will be distributing April data reports this week. If your April data is incomplete, please let Jessica know so she can hold off on running your report, and let her know when you will have it done. We hope to include May data in the data we share at the June 7 learning session. However, this means the May data would need to be in as early as possible and preferably by the end of May. We will run the May numbers based on whatever is entered, but it would be preferable to have good representation of most of the Support for Birth hospitals when we do that. Please let us know if you have any questions.
