Another great webinar...

conference call Thanks to all teams who participated in this morning's webinar.  It is exciting to hear about the work going on at hospitals around the state to increase the rate of vaginal birth among nulliparous patients.  Special thanks to Ann Tumblin for her presentation on the role of doulas in the childbirth setting and their potential impact on the c-section rate.  For more information, or to reach Ann directly, use the link on her webpage, ncdoula.com.  Our next webinar will be on Tuesday May 24, 7:30-9:00am.

Consent forms for induction of labor

PQCNC website If your hospital uses an induction consent form, please consider sharing it with other teams in this initiative, as requested during the webinar this morning.  Send induction consents to me (kberrien@unch.unc.edu) to be posted on the Extranet.

Register now for the final learning session

learning sessionThe final learning session will take place on June 7 at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh.  Use this link to access the registration page on the PQCNC website.  We hope that most, if not all, teams will be able to attend.  We will offer CME for physicians, nurses and midwives.  Please try to ensure that key team members (physician champion, nurse champion, hospital administrator) are able to attend.  Each team is welcome to bring up to 3 participants.
