We hope all 25 of our hospital teams across the state weathered the weekend's storms safely.

All-team webinar next Tuesday, April 26 at 7:30am

conference call Make sure your team members are aware of the upcoming webinar, and try to participate together as a team when possible.  We will use this time to hear from those teams that did not have the opportunity to discuss your work on this initiative during the last webinar.  Hospitals from the east to the central part of the state - be ready to let us know what is going well, what areas of challenge you're facing, and what strategies you are using to try to reach your goals.  We will also hear about hospital-based doula programs and the potential impact of doulas on the vaginal birth rate from Raleigh-based, nationally-recognized expert Ann Tumblin.

Length of time from admission to delivery based on cervical dilation at admission and labor status at admission

This week's chart looks at baseline data to see what the average time interval was for admission to delivery among patients who delivered vaginally and those who delivered by c-section for failure to progress, based on whether they were induced and what their cervical dilation was at admission.  Next week we'll begin to look at data trends in February and March.
