"This procedure describes how to assist parents in providing Kangaroo Care to their infants. The benefits of Kangaroo Care include enhanced parental attachment, increased milk production in breast feeding mothers, increased infant alertness, greater weight gain and earlier discharge." If other teams forward their materials they will be posted on the HM NCCC extranet. Click here for the log itself which stays at the bedside and click here for the policy.

Learning Session 2 pre-registration
No teams have registered for our Learning Session on May 19 2011 and I have no doubt you are hustling and productive in the multiple areas and focuses of the unit, and in particular with the Human Milk Initiative. Please do begin discussions among your team and register as soon as possible so we can make all the necessary arrangements for the day. Click here to pre-register the members of your team who will attend the learning session.
