February data? |
|
Many teams have been entering February data throughout the month. However, 11 of 25 teams have not entered any data yet, and some hospitals have only entered a few cases so far. All February data should be entered by March 10. We will automatically generate data reports for February on March 10. If your data will not be complete on March 10, let us know and we will hold your report. If we don't hear from you, your report will be run based on whatever data you have entered, but may not give you reliable information if it is based on small numbers.

Data do's and don't's |
|
As we discussed during the webinar, hospitals that have the volume to support this may want to increase the size of their sample if time and resources allow in order to increase the reliability of your data report.
Other pointers:
- Cases should be entered based on date of admission - if the patient was not admitted in February, she should not be included in February's data. Similarly, if she was admitted in February but didn't deliver until March, she would be included in February data.
- Do not enter any data into the database if the patient is not NTSV. The very first question on the data entry screen asks if the patient is NTSV as a check for you; if the answer is no, do not save that record, just move on to the next case.
- Please make every effort to obtain all of the data on the data collection form. For example, in the case of a c-section for "failure to progress" it is important to know if an IUPC was used, but that question is frequently left blank. If you are not able to find that data in the chart, then leave the question blank.
