Data Entry Webinars Scheduled

conference call In each of your Maternity Centers you have been identifying newborn patients > 37 weeks gestation and who go to the mother baby unit, stay in an LDRP or to a nursery and collecting some baseline information about the care practices in your center. This information will be entered into a data base for your use as you begin to trial potentially better practices for increasing the number of infants who are exclusively breastfed in your facility. I have encourages you to plan for data entry by identifying a small data group who will enter the data. One hour training will be provided several time the week of December 13th and again, several times the week of January 3rd. Please plan for one or more of your data entry team members to participate at least once in each month. The training dates and times are listed in this attachment.

Learning Sessions

learning session During the months of our initiative in 2011 I hope as many members of your team as possible can gather for the monthly learning sessions which will be held "virtually" by phone and computer. If you have not yet participated in a PQCNC webinar please contact me within the next two weeks to make sure you can access the Webinar program we will be using. The Webinars will be held on the fourth Wednesday each month starting in February.

Face to face learning sessions are few, but will be very important to get the work successfully launched and give your team the knowledge needed to provide leadership in your unit. As many as six team members may attend the first learning session on either January 18th in Raleigh or on January 20th in Winston Salem, from 9:00 am -3:30 pm. Today is the registration deadline, please click here and register your team this week. Thanks to the teams that have already registered!
