Greetings!

Well, we made it to Memorial Day Weekend and the start of summer!

First I would like to say "Thank You!" to all of the Men & Women of the Armed Forces past & present for your sacrifice and bravery.  You are true heros!

We have done 5 weekend trips so far and the one thing I notice is that the motorhome seems to be going the way of the dinosaur.  Were did they all go?  On 4 of the 5 trips 95% or more of the RV's were trailers.  Must be a government coverup or a conspiracy in play, they seemed to have just vanished.  I actually have wondered where all of the RV's go when they are no longer able to continue on or are wanted.  Out west last year we saw a small RV junkyard, but I really haven't seen anything like that in the midwest or out east.  I do see alot of RV's posing as lawn ornaments, but their owners have done a horrible job in making them look attractive.  They are usually shoved off the side of the driveway, grass growing up all around them, not a good use of their landscaping potential.  Maybe if they are not used for a certain period of time they just turn back into an expensive composted dirt. I guess based on that we better get out and use them.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Product Spotlight
Eva-Dry EDV-2200 Mid-Size Dehumidifier

As summer is fast approaching so are high levels of humidity and the potential for mold.  Using Peltier technology the EDV-2200 quietly absorbs moisture in larger areas than the smaller Eva-Dry units . Once the EDV-2200 has reached its capacity, there is an indicator light that will alert you that the reservoir needs to be emptied and the unit will turn itself off. This is a perfect item if you are having a hard time dealing with mold or mildew in your bathroom, on your boat or R.V. or in your house.  The EDV-2200 does require 120v power to operate, so if that is not an option, Eva-Dry does manufacturer non powered versions as well

Product Review
Star Lights Revolution Light Bulb

So here is the scenario, your out camping and just before bed you let the dogs out once last time.  You turn on the porch light and they do their business.  You lock up and head for bed.  The next morning you wake up and you can see the porch light reflecting off the awning and your first reaction is to blame the kids for leaving the porch light on all night.  Worse yet you look outside and the once clear lense has started to yellow and melt because it got to hot from the bulb.  All this time the kids are reminding me (I mean you) that you were the last one in when you let the dogs out.

O.K. so I admit that this may have happened to me and a good RV'ing friend told me about this great replacement bulb to keep this from happening in the future.  I use the 200 lumen version since the 300 had not come out yet and I would say it was about the same brightness as the standard bulb.  I have seen the 300 lumen in action and it throws off alot of light, more than standard.  These bulbs can also be aimed for more light right at the step or farther out and they use a 1/10th of the power.  Also with a 60,000 hour life span your never going to need to replace it.

Wahoo! It's almost Friday.
