Greetings!
Each morning I get an email with the latest RV news and it would appear the industry is on a pretty good come back. New companies are jumping back into the game and companies that weathered the down turn are getting involved in new product lines. I can only hope that everyone in the industry learned at least one valuable lesson, quality is the key no matter what level of RV is being produced. I would read the forums and as time went on 2 page punch lists were common place on a new RV and you were lucky to get away with just a couple of return trips to the dealership. Unfortunetly I was also commiserating with other owners over my own new RV issues. And it wasn't just the RV it was also the components in the RV such as, air conditioners, hot water tanks, furnaces, inverters and the like that were just as poorly manufactured compounding a new owners problems.
At least on the product side we have seen improvements recently in quality as well as more competition in the various categories of products which is leading to better built products. Warranties are getting extended from 1 year to 3 or 5 and even unlimited showing the confidence manufacturers have not only in their design, but also the quality.
Things are definilty looking up for todays RV'er. |
