Dear Friends,

Welcome to the first issue of our new electronic version of the Bexley Cross. Beginning this month, our newsletter will come to you monthly via email and feature news, stories about Bexley alums, students and faculty members, reflections about theological education and spiritual formation, and information about upcoming events and learning opportunities.

Using email will allow us to communicate with you more regularly and share more timely news about what's happening on Bexley's campus. We don't intend to abandon print communication altogether, however. You can expect to see the inaugural issue of a new magazine early in 2012.

Please forward this email to your colleagues, fellow alums and friends, and encourage them to join our mailing list. If you have news you'd like to share with the Bexley community or suggestions for stories we should tell, please let us know via email. We're eager for your ideas!

Sincerely,

your friends at Bexley Hall

What's the Attraction? Size, Spirit & Ecumenical Offerings

It may be the three most important things about real estate, but when picking a seminary, Bexley's new seminarians considered more than just location. The intimacy of the small size, the strong sense of Spirit and its ecumenical partnership with Trinity Lutheran Seminary were all deciding factors. And yes, they liked the location, too. Meet Bexley's five newest students:  Joyce, Nikki, Adrienne, Jason and Ben.

New Alumni Association

Join Now as a Founding Member

Dear Friends:

Over the past few years, many of us--alums from Gambier, Rochester and Columbus-have wished for a formal and active alumni association. As we work with Trinity Lutheran and Seabury, we see the programs and the kind of association they have for their graduates, and we want something similar for Bexley alums. We know that some graduates have formed their own regional groups around the country, but until now there has been no organization to bind us all together in an official and committed endeavor. Prepared for a Pluralistic World Michael Way
Bexley Alum Michael Way
Michael Way doesn't describe himself this way, but for those who know him, he is an outward and visible sign of Bexley Hall's quest to equip seminarians "for Christian ministry in a pluralistic world." His ecumenical education at Bexley prepared him particularly well for the Episcopal church he serves in New Albany, Ohio, which has a large proportion of non-Episcopalians and shares close relationships - and a driveway - with a neighboring synagogue.
