Building a Better Tomorrow...Today

September 2011

September is National Recovery Month!

 National Recovery Month

Recovery Month highlights individuals who have reclaimed their lives and are living happy and healthy lives in long-term recovery and also honors the treatment and recovery service providers who make recovery possible. Recovery Month promotes the message that recovery in all its forms is possible and also encourages citizens to take action to help expand and improve the availability of effective recovery services for those in need.

Valley Clinical Services will be at the Art of Recovery Expo on Saturday, September 24th! The Art of Recovery Expo is a free event that provides education and resources for anyone whose life has been touched by addiction. The Expo brings together coalitions, government agencies and treatment organizations to provide education, resources and hope to addicts or families and friends of addicts. It is one of the largest events supporting recovery organizations in Arizona each year. Attendees will find free workshops and inspiring speakers. Exhibitors are comprised of counselors, agencies, treatment facilities, out-patient clinics, marriage and family therapists and specialists in other areas such as eating disorders, gambling addiction and more.  The convention's dual focus on recovery and prevention is highlighted by presentations from recovery specialists as well as educators.
