Tune Your Bow!

OK, we said we'd include archery tips from time to time.

Here's a good one:

TUNE YOUR BOW!

Just like in rifle or pistol shooting, consistency is accuracy!

The relationship between the bracing height, tiller, nocking point, and the arrow rest adjustment (center shot) is more complex than you may think.

Have you forgotten what all those terms are?  Keep reading and follow the link at the end. See an extract from the link as a "coupon" at the bottom of this email.

If you want accuracy with bow and arrow, start with the ammunition!  Your arrows must be perfectly consistent in all regards.

Once you have good ammo, then turn to fine tuning your bow.  Set your nocking point. But don't just eyeball it.  Read the Bow Tuning Tests by Steve Ellison before you start.

This great guide to tuning can be found on line following the link below...

Thought of the Month:

al

"The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful providence of almighty God."

Leadership in the Valley

Preparing for Winter

OMNA Associates spend a good deal of time carefully preparing for future events.  Here's a glimpse of typical activity by our New Mexico Associate in his workshop overlooking Moreno Valley  high in the Southern Rockies!
