IBSA Annual Meeting Nov. 2-3
This year the Illinois Baptist State Association Annual Meeting is moving south to First Baptist Church in O'Fallon. The meeting will celebrate "Churches Cooperating" to reach their Acts 1:8 mission fields. The keynote speaker is Frank Page, president of the SBC Executive Committee. Disaster Relief Teams still needed
Five Illinois Baptist Disaster Relief chainsaw teams are clearing debris from trees downed by Hurricane Irene in Leonardtown, MD, but mud-out teams are still needed in several northeastern states and in Iowa. Illinois Mission Offering Season of Prayer Sept. 18-25
The Illinois Mission Offering (IMO) supports nearly 100 missionaries across the state. This year's state-wide IMO goal is $430,000. Girls' Mission Celebration
This year's Girl's Mission Celebration (formerly GA Day) will focus on Russia and its unique culture. The celebration will be held Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in the Springfield area where girls will hear missionary speakers, participate in Bible study, make Russian crafts, enjoy specially prepared Russian food, and more.
