Travel Awards

Applications are being accepted in the fall for travel awards for audiologists, graduate and postdoctoral fellows, minority scientists, and residents/medical students to attend the 2013 MWM. Awards of $500 are being offered to defray travel and lodging costs associated with attendance at the ARO's annual meeting. Applications are due by October 15, 2012.

Call for Abstracts

ARO invites you to submit an abstract for the 36th Annual Midwinter Meeting being held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Abstracts can be submitted at www.aro.org. Submission period: September 1, 2012 to October 1, 2012. As a reminder, you must be a current ARO member or sponsored by a current ARO member to submit an abstract for the 2013 MWM.

Award of Merit

Prof. Karen P. Steel is the 2013 Award of Merit Recipient, a groundbreaking leader in the field of hereditary hearing loss. She is internationally recognized for her research utilizing mouse genetics and mutants in order to elucidate mechanisms of normal and pathological hearing.Dr. Steel's Award of Merit ceremony, lecture, and reception will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013.
