Jeff Wenzell with his wife, Jo-Ann
The PRCI family is saddened by the news that Jeff Wenzell passed away on October 11, 2010 following his battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Jo-Ann and the Wenzell family. Jeff had been a member of the PRCI Board of Directors since 2005, and most recently had served as a member of the Executive Committee from 2007 to 2010. He earned the respect of his PRCI colleagues through his thoughtful approach and his strong commitment to PRCI as demonstrated by his collaborative spirit and engagement, traits that he demonstrated even during his illness. During his 35-year career Jeff worked on many high-profile pipeline projects in the U.S. and the Middle East, including the Trans Alaska Pipeline. Prior to coming to Explorer he worked for 12 years with Wilbros. Jeff worked with Explorer Pipeline for 23 years, retiring on September 30, 2010 as Director of Engineering. In addition to Jo-Ann, Jeff is survived by his children Daniel and Katherine, and his sister Karen. Jeff's family requests that you consider honoring his memory with a donation to either:

You may also send expressions of sympathy to Jo-Ann at: 8325 Wright Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK 74014.

IPC 2010 Showcases PRCI Leadership in Pipeline Research
The 2010 International Pipeline Conference & Exposition held in Calgary in September, prominently highlighted PRCI through both its support as a conference sponsor and the substantial contributions by our member companies and their representatives, many of whom played key roles in organizing and leading the technical program. In addition, there were numerous technical papers and presentations included in the conference proceedings and a number of the Tutorials that were based on PRCI research projects and programs. PRCI Board Member Ian Nielson of BP was a featured speaker. PRCI member company representatives and staff also participated on a panel that addressed improvements for in-line inspection technology for seam weld anomalies, and supported the conferences as either Track Chair/co-Chair or Session Leader.
